The first treatment takes around 2 hours to do. Treatment time includes full consultation, mapping, picking the correct shade and the microblading. The 2nd session takes around 1hr 30minutes.

Microblading normally lasts around 12 months (the colour fades over time), so yearly colour boosts are advisable to keep your brows looking full. However skin type, aftercare, lifestyle factors can affect this, meaning some people will need top ups sooner.

Most clients don't find the procedure painful, some experience mild discomfort. A topical anaesthetic is applied during the treatment to numb the area, at this point most clients feel nothing at all.

• Patch test is required at least 48hrs prior to treatment.
• Do not drink alcohol 24hrs prior to treatment.
• Any brow waxing should be performed at least 48hrs prior to treatment.
• Shop bought AHA's and retinol should be avoided 3 days prior to treatment.
• Exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion performed 3 weeks prior.
• Skin peels should be performed 6 weeks prior.
• Facial aesthetics and Botox should be performed 3 weeks prior.
• Avoid sun exposure, including sunbeds 7 days prior.
• You must be off Roaccutane 12 months prior.
• You must be 6 months off any antibiotics for skin or prescribed retinol.
• You must be off any other antibiotics and/or steroids a week prior.

• No sunbeams, swimming, saunas or steam until brows have fully healed.
• No make up on the brows until they have healed.
• No plucking, tinting or waxing for 4 weeks after treatment.
• No excessive exercising (no sweat) until brows have fully healed.
• No picking the brows, picking will pull out pigment. 

You cannot have microblading if any of the following apply:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You are under 18.
• You are currently taking Roaccutane.
• Allergic to nickel.
• On hormone therapy.
• Haemophilia.
• Bleeding disorders.
• Heart conditions/pacemaker.
• Liver disease.
• Sunburn.
• Birthmarks in brow.
• Extremely thin skin.
• Keloid scars.
